Jeff Atelier

Crafting Terror from Isolation

Jeff Atelier writes psychological horror exploring isolation, manipulation, and the price of human connection. He lives in the midwest with his wife and pets.

Containment is his debut novel and the first book in The Containment Trilogy. The Antarctic setting serves as both backdrop and character—a merciless environment that strips away pretense and reveals the raw truth of human nature.

Outside of writing, Jeff works in engineering—turning dreams into reality—and pursues photography, capturing moments before they slip away. This unique combination of technical precision and artistic vision informs his approach to crafting psychological horror that feels both grounded and otherworldly.

Writing Philosophy

"True horror doesn't come from what lurks in the shadows—it comes from what we discover when we're forced to confront ourselves in complete isolation. The most terrifying monster is often the one we've been carrying inside all along."

Jeff is currently working on the second book in The Containment Trilogy, delving deeper into the psychological horror that made the first book so compelling. Each installment will stand alone while contributing to a larger narrative about what happens when we're stripped of everything that makes us human.
